Storyline :

Bryan Mills, the former CIA man who rescued his daughter Kim from some Albanian human traffickers, is being targeted by the families of the men he killed. When he goes to Istanbul on a job, he invites Kim and her mother, Leonor, whose marriage is on the rocks to join him. When the Albanians learn of this they try to grab them. They get Bryan and Leonor, he warns Kim and she evades them. Later he calls Kim to tell her to go to the Embassy but she insists that he let her help them. Bryan tells her to get his case which is filled with weapons and with that, she finds them and gives him a weapon. He escapes and plans to come back for Leonor but they are too many and is unable to save Leonor. So he relies on his memory to find her.

When a movie takes places in Muslim country, we get used to hear azan, see mosques and women covered in black sheets in every Hoolywood film production. But what I can not understand; how the producers of Taken 2 would dare to do it in İstanbul. İstanbul is one of the most modern cities in the world and everybody knows it. I live in İstanbul and I haven't been seen any covered in black sheet woman since maybe 3 years. İstanbul has one of the most beautiful and luxury hotels, restaurants and clubs in the world. The police are not driving 30 years old cars. The streets are not crime scene. 16 millions of people are living in peace. I don't say there is no crime here but not more than Paris, London and New York.. İstanbul in not wild west.

Every movie is filming at particular places in İstanbul. 'Kapalı Çarşı', 'Eminönü Meydanı' etc. as if İstanbul has no other fancy places.

Turkey is not a poor country or closed minded like Iran. We are not ruling by religion. We have parliament and democracy. Why Luc Besson shows my country like this? Mr. Besson was here for The Fifth Element's Turkey premier. When I talk with him, he said lots of beautiful things about here. I think he forgot what he experienced here.

Liam Nesson has spent weeks in İstanbul. Turkish people showed their hospitality to him as always they do. That's why Mr.Nesson knows İstanbul more than any other foreign people. I am really curious what Mr.Nesson thinks about İstanbul in Taken 2.

Taken 2 never reflects İstanbul or the people whose live in.

I really enjoyed first one.

Storyline :

Derek Zoolander is VH1's three time male model of the year, but when Hansel wins the award instead, Zoolander's world becomes upside down. His friends disappear, his father is disappointed in him, and he feels that he's not good as a model anymore. But when evil fashion guru Mugato hires Zoolander, he thinks his life has turned back round again, that is until he finds out that Mugato has actually brainwashed him to kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Can Zoolander and his new friends find out how to prevent the incident before it's too late?

When Zoolander came out, I remember big deal plugs that were made for this film by the media. The movie, after all, is poking fun at entertainment, in particular, the fashion and model industry. This was a hilarious take on it, and Zoolander, our main character, is stupidly lovable. Ben Stiller proves once again his flexibility with his comedic acting. Just watch 'Meet the Parents'and this, you'll think it's 2 different actors. Showing you how much work Ben can do, he also helped write and produce the movie. Owen Wilson usually ends up in a movie with Ben, and he's hilarious too. And of course Will Ferrell is always a riot. Read the Plot Outline in the details, there's not much to it. But you don't watch movies like this for incredible story lines, do you?

No, it's not an oscar winning comedy, most aren't. It's not an intelligent look at real-life, it's not the greatest storyline driven kind of movie, and it doesn't have top notch acting. But it's incredibly funny, especially the DVD. The DVD is filled with so many extra goodies, it's worth getting. The movie is filled with cameos like David Bowie, Paris Hilton, Billy Zane, AH! There are so many, you just have to see the list yourself.

Rent or buy it, and leave your brain on the table next to the popcorn. Because there's more to life then being really, really, ridiculously smart
